GEOExPro Article on PETEX 2010 GCC
“A WINDOW TO A BRILLIANT FUTURE”

This lyrical description of the Graduate Career Centre at PETEX 2010 was the ideal title for the editorial article in GeoExpro Magazine. Subtitled “How can we connect with the next generation of geoscientists to bring them into the hydrocarbon industry?”, the article told how Working Smart, with PESGB backing, brought the first dedicated facility for students at a UK oil and gas exhibition to PETEX.

The feedback from industry, students and universities was very positive. “Brilliant”, “Excellent”, “Most worthwhile”, ”Invaluable”.

Deirdre O’Donnell, Working Smart’s Managing Director, concludes the article with a ringing call for action by the industry - action needed now to address the looming crisis in recruitment.
