A leading global seismic solutions Company providing advanced acquisition equipment, software and planning, and seismic processing services to the oil and gas industry seek Seismic Acquisition Analysts. Following appropriate training, you will assist clients in optimising the design and implementation of complex seismic acquisition surveys, by effectively utilising the Company’s acquisition software and tools. This role is ideal for a recent graduate in geophysics, math’s, physics or geoscience related subject who is analytical and wishes to purse a career working with an expanding global geophysical player. Role offers office and offshore work, and extensive training in the Company’s navigation and acquisition software, workflows and practices. Great opportunity for a dynamic flexible individual with a passion to learn and develop. The Company is a global provider of survey design, real time navigation, and positioning systems and offers an integrated family of products addressing the navigation and data management requirements of 2D, 3D and 4D seismic surveys in towed streamer and seabed operations. They operate in marine and transition zone environments, as well as challenging applications, such as full-wave and 4D. Working with clients across oil companies and seismic acquisition contractors, they have earned an international reputation for anticipating client needs and providing tools which deliver dramatic efficiency improvements and operational cost savings in the highly competitive seismic acquisition market. With a large team of developers, they can provide bespoke solutions to adopt to survey environmental conditions and client needs. Working along-side this team of experts, you will quickly gain exposure to the acquisition workflow and practices. You will be trained in all aspects of the Company’s navigation and acquisition software and will work towards assisting clients in optimising the design and implementation of seismic acquisition surveys. You will be supported and mentored and will take on additional tasks and responsibilities as your progress in your training and development. The role is based in the Company’s offices in Edinburgh, but involves offshore work on a crew vessel. These vessels may be based in West Africa, North Sea and Australia etc. 30-40 days offshore work anticipated in the first year, and then increasing subsequent years up to an estimated 100 days per year.
