Profile: From my experience in oil and gas sales roles with NOV the focus was to handle key accounts and increase profitable sales revenue from them. Under my own initiative I prospected new business including lapsed customers and unsuccessful quotes. In addition to smaller accounts I also brought on two new key clients with a collective annual spend of $2.5 million. During this time I reviewed and improved upon logistics to several key accounts to improve profitability. In my experience working as an inspection engineer I developed skills in planning, investigation and reporting. While working on projects I was responsible for undertaking visual inspection of subsea assets and submitting them to NDT where requested. This included supporting specialist NDT teams in fulfilling their brief. The approach was methodical, ensuring comprehensive and accurate results. Where anomalies were identified I would investigate, record findings and submit reports to project manager and client where required. Final reports for the project were completed onshore and I aided the office in their production. Working in an inspection role on site for a service company it was imperative to have an eye for detail both in the inspection process and in the recording of findings. Often I was sole company representative and had total responsibility for all data recorded on site and how it was managed. This was a skill I had practised prior in my roles with Cosalt and NOV where I was responsible for reviewing and processing technical inquiries, sales quotes and orders while arranging global logistics. I am confident in working from project briefs and technical drawing not only from my previous experience but also from my role in NOV. This role required me at times to identify parts from photographs and customer descriptions to technical drawings and vice versa . In all these roles problem solving and initiative was important to meet tight deadlines and delivering excellent customer service. With over ten years of commercial sales experience I have developed excellent communication skills. These skills were essential in my role at a service company where I would often lead on planning the approach to the project on site. This included taking account of the feedback and requirements of the specialist and ROV team members. The collaboration was a continual, active process and enabled us to work efficiently and safely to fulfil project briefs comprehensively and on time.
